William Hill set to launch Irish site

The online gambling division of William Hill plans to introduce an
Irish website in the following three months. This new website should increase revenues from its online activities, according to the Irish Examiner. William Hill is the leading online bookmaker in the UK and listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The online bookmaker expects that this new site, dedicated to the Irish gambling market, will result in increased internet operations. William Hill Online posted impressive results in the first six months of this year. Operating profit rose by 43% in comparison to the same period in 2009. Divisional turnover increased by approximately 24% from the corresponding period of the previous year. Furthermore, the online business in Ireland grew very strongly in the first six months of 2010.
