Online gambling company
Jez Moxey, chief executive officer of the Wolves, commented: “This is a milestone for the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Sportingbet is an online gambling company with a worldwide exposure. They have chosen to extend the current two-year deal with an additional season. This extension means a major boost for our organization. It’s in contrast with the current development in football. A lot of clubs are facing difficulties with their sponsoring. Last season’s partnership with Sportingbet
has been extremely successful. We are pleased with the extension through to the close of the 2012/13 season.”
Sportingbet’s CEO Andrew McIver noted: “Our partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers has proved to be very successful. We are pleased with this two-year extension. Wolverhampton Wanderers’ amazing fans have truly connected with our brand in the initial season. The Wolves continue to perform well. Together with their Premier League status they perfectly provide us the international exposure for our brand.”
