French player wins World Poker Tour
The World Poker Tour (WPT) is a series of international poker tournaments. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the largest poker event in the world. Las Vegas hosts the WSOP every year. The WPT is the second largest poker tournament series on the globe. Bucharest, Romania hosted the latest World Poker Tour and the entry field featured many skilled poker players. The latest edition wasn’t won by a big name but a regular poker player from France took home the title.
World Poker Tour tournament
Guillaume Darcourt (37) won the World Poker Tour tournament. He took home €125.846. The entry field consisted of 161 players. The Frenchman had to deal with serious competition from several poker professionals in the offline and online casino poker scene. Players not only competed for the prizes and the title, but also for the opportunity to join the WPT World Championship. This will be held at the Bellagio Casino and Resort in Las Vegas.

Simon Münz finished in second place. The German is considered as one of the big names in the internet casino poker gambling scene. He frequently plays the Poker Strategy website. Münz played very well but he wasn’t able to defeat Darcourt in the final table event.
