Gran Casino Madrid receives first online gambling license

Spanish online casino fans will soon be able to access a legal online gambling site. Casino Gran Madrid has been certified to offer online casino games in Spain. The total project costs have surged to more than €3 million. Every single game has been tested more than one million times to guarantee randomness.

Gran Casino Madrid has become the first legal online casino in Spain on May 17. The casino group has been awarded a license by the Dirección General de Tributos y Ordenación del Juego de Madrid. This first license marks the start of a legal online gambling market in Spain.

License

It took two years to obtain the license. Fifty professionals and approximately twenty Spanish and international companies have participated in the project. The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid has executed the certification process.

Approval process

Autonomous regulators have checked all games and they can supervise the casino’s equipment at any given time. All casino games have been tested one million times in order to guarantee randomness. The approval process included approximately 200 million tests.
