The North Carolina Education Lottery has announced that Lottie and Sylvia Williams have won a $248,982 jackpot. They scooped the staggering cash prize in last weekend’s drawing, after matching all five numbers.
Lottery jackpot
Lottie Williams learned about the lottery jackpot Sunday morning, according to a statement from the state
lottery. “I hopped off my truck, rushed into the house and informed my spouse about the massive jackpot,” Lottie stated.
House renovation and debts
The couple bought the lucky ticket at a grocery store in the Columbus County-based city. The jackpot enables them to pay off debts and renovate their house, Lottie added.
Carolina Cash 5 jackpot
The North Carolina Education Lottery revealed that it’s the fifth Carolina Cash 5 jackpot won by a Columbus County resident. Four years ago, a Riegelwood inhabitant took home $370,904 in cash courtesy of the Carolina Cash 5 game.
