The British Columbia lottery has announced that Van Hen Lu has won the $7.2 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot. Lu plans to pay a new house, in addition to a new motor for his fishing boat. He is married to Thieu Mai Ly and they have three children. They have lived in Canada for more than three decades.
Devoted lottery player
They celebrated the jackpot on the day their son was born. Lu noted that he is a devoted
lottery player. His usual six numbers have now brought him the $7.2 million jackpot. However, Lu revealed that

he had chosen the numbers randomly.
Danced like fools
The winner commented that it seemed like a dream when he checked the numbers. He bought the ticket at a gas station on the same day. They informed their children about the jackpot win, after they danced around like fools.
Practical joke
Their 28-year-old daughter declared that she thought it was a
joke. “I asked my mother: Is this one of your practical jokes? I just couldn’t believe it.” She needed to check the numbers herself to be sure that it wasn’t a joke.
