A woman from Christchurch thinks about donating some of her lottery jackpot, worth $17.7 million, to charities. The winner, who preferred to remain anonymous, was enjoying her vacation when she learned that she had won the lottery jackpot.

She needed a few days to recover after she heard the news. The Auckland resident claimed her $17.7 million at NZ Lotteries’ Wellington. She bought the lucky ticket in Hamilton but she isn’t a regular lottery participant.

“At first, the life-changing cash prize made me nervous. Nevertheless, I will continue my usual life,” the winner commented. She revealed to donate some money to charities like Christchurch. It remains unclear how she will spend the rest of the money.
