Granny wins Powerball jackpot worth $336.4 million
The Powerball lottery game has produced another millionaire after Louise White scooped a $336.4 million jackpot. It is the biggest jackpot in US lottery history. The 81-year-old matched all five numbers, in addition to the Powerball number.

The Rhode Island resident bought the lucky ticket at a local grocery store on February 11. White visited the grocery store after a relative asked her to buy a rainbow sherbet. At first, the 81-year-old woman stored the lucky ticket in her bible. Later she decided to keep the ticket in a safety deposit box.
The Powerball lottery game is available in 44 states, with a minimum advertised jackpot worth $40 million. Drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday. The previous Powerball
record was $177.3 million, won on February 18, 2006. The Mega Millions lottery celebrated a record win on March 25, 2011, when a New York resident cashed $202.8 million.
