Duo shares $35,224,854 Lotto Powerball jackpot
The record Lotto Powerball jackpot of $35,224,854 has been won by two New Zealanders. In addition, nine other participants split the $1 million first division pool. Only two tickets featured the lucky Powerball number. One fortunate ticket was sold at Dannevirke New World, while the
other one was purchased at Take Note Dinsdale in Hamilton.
The lucky winners will share the $35,224,854 Powerball jackpot. This means they both receive $17.6 million. In addition, they take home $111,111 for claiming first division.
Todd McLeay, CEO for NZ Lotteries, described the Lotto Powerball jackpot as a life-changing event. “We invite the winners to contact us. After checking the data, NZ Lotteries officials will tell the winners how to claim the jackpot
anonymously. NZ Lotteries provides winners professional support.”
