Mobile gambling market more and more important to online gambling industry
‘Mobile technology is the cause of a true revolution in the online gaming industrie,’ thus said Gene Johnson, an employee of Spectrum Gaming Group to Las Vegas Business Press. Johnson said this right after Full Tilt Poker announced that they were about to launch a new mobile, online poker platform via Google’s Android platform, the mobile operating system that gives Apple a run for it’s money.
‘Full Tilt Poker Rush Mobile has to support Flash 10.1, which is a new idea that will probably be adopted by other online gambling companies,’ writes Online-Casinos.com. ‘The most recent smartphones, launched by HTC, Motorola, T-mobile and others, will support this app, while in the mean time it will become possible to provide software upgrades for older phones,’ adds GamblingCity.net. In the meantime, JackpotCity has launched a new mobile casino for the software from Apple’s iPad. JackpotCity is not the first operator to do so. 32Red for example, has launched a mobile gaming site quite some time ago.
Mobile gambling very popular
‘Mobile phones are very popular instrument for online gamblers and have become increasingly popular through the years,’ writes Tom Jones at CasinoGamblingWeb.com. ‘When people get stuck on airports or train stations, they use the apps on their mobile phones to play their favorite online games.’
Casino experts expect that all the online casino’s must eventually go mobile. It is possible that they will be faced with regulatory issues, especially in the United States, but up until now this hasn’t stopped several companies to offer their services on the American market.
