Illegal gambling
With this latest bust, the Indian police emphasize their focus on illegal gambling activities. Authorities stated that gambling emerges especially during Krishna Janmashtami. This Hindu festival triggers many Indians to
gamble at home or at farms in city suburbs. Police only raid specific farmhouses after complaints by residents.
