Gioco Digitale first licensed online bingo operator in Italia

Gioco Digitale, the Italian internet gambling operator, which was purchased in September 2009 by Austrian remote gaming giant Bwin, will be the first company in Italia to exploit online bingo activities with cash prizes.

After successfully complying with the certification requirements of local regulator AAMS, the company announced the acquirement of the license. Consequently Gioco Digitale will be the first licensed operator in the Italian real cash bingo sector.

The market watchers believe that the sector will grow rapidly, as the online poker industry in Italy was extremely successful in 2009.
