Betclic has inked a two season shirt sponsorship deal with Italian football giants Juventus. Market watchers believe that the deals values approximately €16 million. The subsidiary of the French Mangas gaming group extends its position in global football, which isn’t allowed in France due to the present legislation. These limitation will probably ease as new French gambling legislation will be implemented. This will legalize internet gambling.
Jean-Claude Blanc, the current chairman of Juventus FC, commented: “Despite the complicated economic conditions, we have found a global associate of primary standing. Together we will develop a commercial strategy that shares the rights of the first and the second jersey.”
There are speculations that the Italian football club seeks to sell the naming rights of their new stadium. The former Stadio Delle Alpi stadium has been demolished and the new stadium is due to open in the 2011 – 2012 season.
