Belgian repairman arrested for slot machine theft
A Belgian repairman has been accused for stealing slot machines in Troy Township. Michael D. Moulster (35) stole five fruit machines
in the Jersey Tavern. He has been released on a signature bond. Moulster is expected in Walworth County Court in Elkhorn, Walworth County.
Late December, a Walworth County police officer discovered how the Belgian repairman was removing the slot machines from Jersey Tavern. The policeman asked his driver’s license to determine the defendant’s identity. Moulster stated that he was repairing the fruit machines, according to the felony complaint.
The policeman wasn’t able to call the company to check Moulster’s statement. For that reason, he couldn’t arrest the defendant. In addition, Moulster had a key to open the slot machines. It remains unclear how we obtained the key. The owner of Jersey Tavern informed the police as he had not given orders to remove the rented one-armed bandits.
