“Everybody at West Virginia University should be aware of the fact that we represent the University at all times. All coaches and staff should behave properly,” read a statement from West Virginia University.

Holgorsen misbehaved and argued with casino employees. He refused to cooperate and his behavior was ‘inappropriate’, according to the Charleston Daily Mail. Security guards needed to remove Holgorsen from the casino. However, he left the building without any trouble and waited at the
parking lot for a cab.

“It has been an important lesson to me. Representing the University is an extra incentive to behave properly in every situation. I would like to apologize to both the University and the football team. I can assure that it will never happen again,” Holgorsen stated.
