The top managers and finance staff are banned from casinos for as long as they work for Second Chance Properties. Second Chance CEO Mohamed Salleh Marican commented: “After learning of Henry Quek’s gambling loss I decided to take measures. Obviously he didn’t want to lose €20.45 million but even top executives can lose control when playing at a casino.”

Henry Quek, managing director of Far Ocean Sea Products, lost €20.45 million over three days. Mohamed Salleh stated that top managers who suffer excessive gambling losses could provoke troubles with suppliers and banks. “In case of publicly traded companies, it will cause commotion among stockholders.”
