Suspect Bellagio robbery pleaded not guilty

Last December, a suspect stole casino chips worth $1.5 million from the
Bellagio Hotel & Casino. The man has denied involvement in the robbery. Anthony Carleo (29) was detained in February on suspicion of theft, assault, robbery and weapon possession. Carleo’s father is an attorney in Las Vegas.
Robbery
Michelle Leavitt, judge on the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada, has scheduled a trial date for January next year. Carleo faces a long prison sentence. He is charged with stealing high value casino tokens after which he left the resort on a motorbike. Surveillance tapes showed how the suspect, who carried a bike helmet, stole the casino chips.
Bellagio Hotel & Casino
The Bellagio Hotel & Casino forms part of the Leading Hotels of the World. The casino resort is situated on the Las Vegas Boulevard. MGM Resorts International owns the Bellagio, which is located on the site of the former Dunes Hotel & Casino.
