Scarborough welcomes second casino
Grosvenor Casinos is set to open its first casino in Scarborough. This new venue results in 15 full and part time jobs. The so-called ‘e-casino’ will be opened in the city on the North Sea coast of North Yorkshire next week. The former George Hotel in Scarborough has been transformed into a casino
after an £17,000 investment.
The new Grosvenor Casino is located near the Opera House Casino. This glamorous casino opened its doors in 2005 following a £7 million investment. The Grosvenor Casino offers 21 electronic roulette machines with 10p minimum bets and £200 maximum bets. Punters must be 18 years or older to access the Grosvenor venue. Furthermore, players can enjoy 20 slot
machines offering £4,000 jackpots. The Scarborough-based casino also offers two rake Texas hold’em tables, allowing punters to enjoy poker on conventional casino tables.
Players can enjoy widescreen HD Sky Sports action, while WiFi is available on comfy seating. The Grosvenor Casino offers a range of light refreshments, like coffee, alcohol and sandwiches. Fridays and Saturdays the casino will be open from 10am to 4am. From Sunday to Thursday it will be open from 10am until midnight.
“We strive to offer an amusing casino that complements the current entertainment offering in Scarborough. The innovative technology results in a groundbreaking and thrilling casino for all types of players,” project coordinator Adam Evans commented.
