Marina Bay Sands opens art & science museum

The world’s first art & science museum will be inaugurated in the Marina Bay Sands. Las Vegas Sands built the casino resort in Singapore. The art & science museum will be opened on February 17th 2011 at exactly 1:18pm. Marina Bay Sands’ feng shui master determined the specific date and time. The design of the new museum is based on a lotus flower. Architect Moshe Safdie created the design of the building.Las Vegas Sands
Sheldon Adelson, CEO of the Las Vegas Sands, has named the museum an hospitable greeting from Singapore. The building features ten galleries in the shape of a finger. Every gallery shines a ray of light on the interior walls. The new museum consists of 21 galleries that offer art, science, media, technology, design and architecture.Art & science museum
Visitors can enjoy a permanent exposition that demonstrates art and science items throughout the ages. The dish-shaped roof of the building captures rainwater, which will be used for the pool at the lowest level of the museum.Marina Bay Sands
