The water level in the Ohio River is still rising, which has forced Harrah’s Metropolis Casino & Hotel to shut down. “Closing the hotel and
casino is inevitable but we expect that it will only be for several days,” according to Amanda King, speaking on behalf of Harrah’s Metropolis Casino & Hotel.
Preventive measure
“This preventive measure has been taken to protect all employees and visitors. Obviously, nobody floats away but the increasing water levels may cause a lot of problems. For that reason, we decided to prevent all these problems by closing the business,” King added.
