Casino executives fired for violating email policy
The Star Sydney Casino & Hotel has dismissed another three managers, after they breached the company's internet and email policies. In the meanwhile, the Sydney-based gambling resort has sacked a total number of at least seven employees.
21 hours of non-stop gambling
VIP manager Dean Wilson is one of the sacked managers. Two employees had incorrectly requested two international whales to stop gambling after they had been playing continuously for over 21 hours. Wilson decided to request responsible gambling director Ron Wagemans to explain the company's policy.
"We are not obliged to ask international high rollers to leave the casino after 24 hours of non-stop gambling. These travelling punters don't have much time to wager and they have a predetermined gambling
budget," read an email sent by Wilson to staff members.
Signs of tiredness
Wilson later asked floor managers in four gambling venues operated by Echo Entertainment to detect tired international high rollers. The managers should determine if the international whales were able to make rational decisions. Wilson asked them to look for signs of tiredness.
