Briton charged with stealing poker chips worth $12 million

Ashley Mitchell from England has been accused of theft of poker chips with a value of $12 million. Mitchell acquired and sold the poker chips on the internet. He didn’t confess the
theft when he appeared in Exeter Crown Court. During a preceding trial, the judge heard he purportedly traded the chips for $80.334.
Charges
He is charged with concealing, disguising, redeeming, relocating or confiscating illegal possessions, that is online poker chips. Mitchell traded the online
poker chips on the internet in the period June – September 2009. In addition, he faces charges of transferring the profits to his bank account.
Poker chips theft
Mitchell is also charged with using a computer to execute a task to gain illegal access to software or data stored on a computer. He tried to commit this crime in the period June – August 2009. Magistrates will announce the sentence on December 17.
