Jefferson resident makes up assault due to gambling losses
Nobody likes to lose money, but some people take matters too far. A woman from Jefferson, Louisiana had lost money betting, which was a major disappointment. Sandra Gayle came up with a plan to prevent that her daughter would discover the gambling losses
Made up robbery
The 53-year-old bettor told police she had been robbed near a Gretna-based shopping center. Gayle claimed she was attacked by two men, including one armed robber
, who stole $80. Police questioned a shop attendant, who revealed that the 53-year-old woman had unsuccessfully cashed a check. Additionally, Gayle had asked the clerk for some cash to grab a taxi.
Ashamed after gambling losses
The woman from Jefferson came clean, and told police that she had faked the robbery
