Malaysian politician suspended over cash poker game
The Democratic Action Party (DAB) has responded to photographs showing Eddie Ng Tien Chee gambling. The Balakong assemblyman has been suspended for twelve weeks over his poker activities last month. Chee was caught gambling during Chinese New Year

The photographs were taken at Chee’s service facility, where he gambled with a couple of other men. The Malaysians were clearly playing for real money, with one of them dealing out cards to the other gambling enthusiasts. According to local media, an unidentified person took the pictures with his smartphone
Ridden with bad consciousness
Chee can dispute the suspension during the next 14 days. The Democratic Action Party’s disciplinary team has sent the Balakong assemblyman a letter with regard to the issue. In the meantime, Chee has accepted the suspension. “I take full responsibility for the gambling incident
