Single parent hits €72.44 million lottery prize
After almost two weeks, an Arizona resident has claimed a €72.44 million Powerball jackpot. The substitute teacher visited the Powerball organization last Monday to claim the jackpot
. Sheila Verke preferred a single payment of €37.93 million. She will treat herself to a new car and a holiday.
Verke commented: “The Powerball jackpot not only impacts my life but also changes my children’s, my grandchildren’s and my friends’ lives. Friends and financial consultants supported her at a media event.
The winner applied a fixed tactic to take home the Powerball jackpot. Verke used the same combination for many years. The winning set of numbers, 5-10-11-12-20 with a Powerball
number of 2, represents Verke’s birthday and that of her two kids.
“I have been using the combination for at least 6.5 years. No matter what, I always purchased them,” Verke commented. The single parent purchased the lucky ticket at a grocery store in Fort Mohave.
Sheila Verke has become the third-largest Powerball winner in the southwestern region. The Powerball lottery is available in 44 jurisdictions. The chances to win the Powerball jackpot were more than 1 in 195 million.
