San Francisco lotto player buys $70 million ticket
The California Lottery is waiting for a Safeway customer to claim his or her $70 million lotto jackpot
. A spokesperson confirmed that the store based in San Francisco's Sunset District sold the extremely rewarding SuperLotto Plus ticket.
The fortunate ticket-holder has to collect his or her lotto bonanza
within 180 days. The latest SuperLotto Plus drawing resulted in the winning numbers 13, 11, 23, 27, 29, in addition to the so-called ‘mega number’ 10. It was the most rewarding drawing since February 2009, when another SuperLotto Plus player took home a $76 million prize.
If the winner chooses the lump sum payment he or she will receive about $40.9 million before taxes
. Additionally, the California Lottery will award the Safeway store a selling bonus check for $350,000. Those who purchase a SuperLotto Plus tickets select five numbers from 1 to 47, plus a mega number from 1 to 27. The California Lottery hosts the SuperLotto Plus every Wednesday and Saturday.
