Hotel chef claims €1.77 million lottery prize

A Bridgwater resident has scooped a life changing jackpot of €1.77 million. Neil Baker plans to use the money to visit his second great grandfather’s resting place in Belgium. The customer service wasn’t available for two days so the lucky winner had to wait to claim his jackpot.lottery jackpot

The hotel chef noted that he verified the numbers on the lucky ticket about 5 times. He wanted to be absolutely sure. “We had to wait 48 hours before we could contact the lottery office. They checked all numbers and confirmed that we had won the jackpot. It was an amazing feeling, I just couldn’t believe it,” Baker commented.

The winner said that he will use the money to spend more time taking care of his mom. “My mother does not go out very much and now we can spend more time together. We can go on a nice holiday without worrying about money.”
