Cochran decided to check the numbers online a couple days after buying the lottery ticket. “First I noticed the name of the retailer, which was the one where I purchased mine. Subsequently, I verified the numbers and discovered that I had won a $1 million cash prize”, the Chautauqua County woman commented.

Lump sum only

It wasn’t the top jackpot but the second prize, which is only available as a one-time payment. Cochran’s jackpot comes to $661,800 after taxes. The Powerball winner said she isn't sure what she will do with the new fortune, but intends to enjoy a nice vacation.
