Gambling ship may depart within a few weeks
The first gambling cruise from Riviera Beach may depart before the end of next month, a representative stated. Jonathan Greene, president at Black Diamond Casino, had targeted early July as the first departure date. However, the Jupiter-based casino has not released a definite launch date.
The 160-foot vessel will depart at 10:30 a.m. from Wednesday to Saturday. The Sunday cruise will run from 11:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. Cruisers can also enjoy the night cruise that will operate from 19:00 p.m. to 00:00. Ticket prices range from $25 to $50. Passengers can choose from a sit-down lunch, dinner or station brunch, depending on the departure date.
Qualify for membership rates
Lindsay Greene, Jonathan's daughter, revealed that passengers will pay non-member prices. However, gamblers can be eligible for membership rates after they reached a certain ranking with the casino. Black Diamond also plans to operate pick-up services, Lindsay added.
Gambling, dining and entertainment
Black Diamond's gambling ship comprises one gaming area and a dining level. The gambling area features slot machines, roulette, craps, poker and blackjack. Both decks also have a bar, while the dining area offers entertainment. Black Diamond revealed that the ship has room for 550 cruisers. Jonathan Greene purchased the cruise ship two years ago.
